1. The service
Veritas provides consent-based candidate background verification, including identity, education, employment, and clearance checks, delivered as a human-readable report within a typical 24–48 hour turnaround.
2. Consent requirement
Every verification requires the candidate's written authorization before work begins. Clients agree to request checks only for legitimate hiring or engagement purposes and to comply with applicable law, including GDPR and FCRA where relevant.
3. Report accuracy
We cross-check information against primary sources and apply rigorous quality controls. Reports reflect information available from those sources at the time of the check; hiring decisions remain the client's sole responsibility.
4. Confidentiality
All candidate data and reports are handled under a 100% confidentiality guarantee, with encryption and restricted access. Clients must treat reports as confidential and share them only with authorized decision-makers.
5. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, attempt to obtain reports without consent, interfere with the platform's security, or use reports for any unlawful discriminatory purpose.
